Lamborghini Factory Driver Scot Sandy, returns to Euro Endurance Pro action with top Italian team VSR

Sandy returns to a full PRO car campaign in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup this season when he pilots the No163 car prepared by leading Italian team VSR.

Sandy, the 25-year-old from Forfar, will reunite with fellow Lamborghini factory drivers, Italian Marco Mapelli and Frenchman Franck Perera. The trio previously represented K-Pax Racing in the same PRO series in 2023.

Sandy: “It’s fantastic to be back racing in a PRO car for the full GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup series,” stated the Scot, who this season will also contest the GTWC Sprint Cup in a PRO car, plus four race weekends in the British GT Championship, both with Barwell Motorsport. It was always my target this season to be back in a PRO car for the Endurance Cup, and to be partnering with Marco and Franck again, this time in the VSR Lamborghini Huracan EVO2 GT3, is terrific. We were a quick trio in 2023 but didn’t get the good fortune we deserved. We’re all hungry for success this year so we’re right up for the fight.”

The GT World Challenge Endurance Cup, one of the toughest GT championships in the world, features five races including the iconic Spa24Hrs in June, plus three-hour races at Monza, Nurburgring and Barcelona. The campaign gets underway with the season-opening six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France on April 12/13.
